Ten years ago, we dreamt of creating our own eyewear brand in India… and why not? It’s very sunny for long parts of the year and Indian fashion and culture is legendary. Fast forward to now and MacV is based in almost every major Indian city and airport - wow! 

 

We felt it was time to expand even further and that’s exactly how MacV has ended up in the UK today. Offering you specially designed eyewear using the best materials possible and with virtually 100% UVA and UVB protection across all of our styles. 

 

MacV Founder, Matt McPherson said: 
“I was adamant from my experience working as a DJ in Ibiza and a ski rep in the Alps that form and function had to be combined. There should be no outlandish designs that look remarkable but give you no protection for your eyes, and no ugly designs that give no protection… from your mates!” 

MacV UK is based in Scotland and has its sights set on becoming leaders in the eyewear industry. We have brought our Ibizan ethos and Indian experience to our Scottish business and are already looking to expand across Europe. Now is definitely the right time. People are much more fashion conscious and want their eyewear to reflect their personality, outfit, lifestyle or sport.  These days one pair of sunglasses just won’t cut it and that’s why we’re here to help!
